winter trip 2018 part 7

For day 7, went out quite late. Stopped by some shops. I bought myself a glove for 5euro. So lady-like. We took a gondola ride for an hour which cost us 27euro each or 160euro for 1 gondola. The gondola paddler sang a bit here and there. But nothing compared to the singer in Macao. Of course the view in Venice wins. When the gondola was turning, the paddler would make a whistling sound. We spotted a market and stopped there. I bought strawberry, cherries, red currant (coz I always see it at aeon) and dried pineapple. Wanted to buy pasta but definitely be out of shape when I reached Malaysia.

Walked around the Rialto Bridge area. These people found a fabric shop selling tablecloth. Hah.. This is what my mom likes. So I bought 1 for her and will sell the Coach handbag that I bought for her in Paris. The tablecloth is so heavy.

I bought cannoli. Stopped at a supermarket. I wanted to buy lip gloss coz my lips are very dry and milk. A litre of milk cost 0.60euro. Pehh kat Malaysia pun tak dapat harga gitu. We went home and ate whatever we bought.

In the evening, went out again. Stopped at Sephora coz I wanted to replace my make up. Kemain kau.. Sephora kat Tebrau setakat wat lawatan je. Kat Venice siap shopping. Terpaksa dowh. Muka aku da macam mayat ape. Setakat lipstick dengan blusher je. Compact powder x replace pun. Tengok winter boot 20euro pun berkenan tapi memikirkan beg yang dah takde space tu, hentikan lah. On the way back, found a watch shop. 1 bought watches. When we arrived home, others wanted it too. So some went out again. I cooked samyang for dinner.

On day 6,we woke up at 4am to catch the bus at 7.30am. Took the subway and so many stops. At the last stop, quickly went out and went up. Suddenly they were talking about bag. OMG OMG OMG that was when I realised I actually lost my small backpack. I must have left it on the train coz I didn't put it on my lap. Put it on the seat and was busy talking about that damn place with new rules (f*) If we had time, maybe I would go after it. But we were on the way to Venice. So I had to redha. I had so many things that I need for everyday trip-telekung, sejadah, bidet bottle, makeup,shades,power bank. Some RM (rm5 that i collected the whole 2018 !) Yang paling cuak my tickets that we used in Paris, flight ticket, my receipts. Looks like I can't claim my VAT. And I will be fined for not giving the receipt at the airport 😢 sob sob sob. I would say my total lost is around rm1000. Ape la dosa aku buat. Rasanya aku tau dosa apa. (bertaubatlah) lucky I put my passport and money on waist strap.
I just slept all the way to Venice. Trying to bury my sorrow. Almost noon we reached Venice. Took the water bus to the other side. We left our bags at a bag deposit. 1 bag was charged 7euro.
I had 2.pehh habis macam tu aje duit aku.

Then we walked around. Found this cheap stall operated by a Bangladeshi who once worked in Malaysia for almost 10years. I didn't buy any although his offer was the cheapest, 5euro for 4 metal fridge magnet (fm) because I feel his was not unique. But he gave all of us 1 each. So nice of him. So if you are around Polo area, do look for his stall near the public toilet.

 We took the water bus again to the other side. Walked around a bit then had lunch. I ordered risotto and water. Tak kuasa nak berkopi bagai. Lagi pun bukan suka kopi pun.

19.50 euro. although i couldn't really "go" with the taste, but i still finish it coz of the price. nasi macam ni almost rm100 *nangis*

 After lunch, walked again. Around 4,we picked our bags and headed to our homestay. It was around the place we walked just now. It darked quite fast in Venice. 4.30pm already maghrib. On the way to the homestay, the alley was crowded with people. A fren stopped me wanting to show chocolate fountain. I wanted to cross but a group of boys shouted at me (coz i was like trying to block their way). Aku ni cam terkedu. Panggil b*** kang satu isu plak. Aku peratikan je la. Kampung kau kan. It was a disaster to drag your luggage on cobble stone. Beg da la da terlebih muatan. Bencana betul. The house looked creepy from the outside but so modern inside. Even dishwasher was provided. Haha. it has 3 bedrooms, 2bathrooms and 1 toilet.

I slept without dinner coz I had no mood to mingle anymore. I was so tired at having to drag the luggage around. Even made a vow not to travel during winter anymore. Had to sleep in cold condition because the heater was not working or rather we didn't know how to operate it. Hah! Another reason to hate winter

winter trip 2018 part 5

Today went out quite early. After breakfast, took the train to Central. Next, we hopped on the bus to the largest outlet in Europe - Serravalle. It stopped at a few more stops to pick up other people. I was so lazy and just slept all the way. Why la these people want to come here?? I bought something again.

Then my sis-in-law wanted to buy something also. That one never mind. Coz it's not mine. You can be crazy here. I even bought a Tefal pan+lid for 10 euro. Now I have to think how to stuff it in my bag. Dumb! The difficult part is wanting to get tax refund. First, the total of your spending must be 175 euro or more. Some shops even gave 40% discount. When I wanted to get the refund, the receptionist asked me to go back to the shop and get my name changed. The shop has to type full name or same as passport. I need to provide the receptionist with my passport, credit card (coz I didn't use cash) and receipt from shop. She asked me whether I want refund in euro or ringgit. I said ringgit coz I thought the money will be directly credited to my credit card. She actually gave me cash. Bummer! I should have asked for euro. Then I can shop again. LoL. Not over yet. I still need to validate my receipt at the airport before I fly back. Otherwise the shop can charge my card again. When we reached Milan, we went back to Duomo Cathedral area again to take other people. Had dinner at one kebab shop. I ordered a margharita pizza. Without any topping (meat, chicken, vege) it still tasted good.

 I bought Milan fridge magnet. Then went around the shops and I found a fridge magnet that I really want. A map of Italy. Aduii. Takpe.. Beli extra nanti balik jual hahaha. After that, we went back.
